Art and business have been recurring themes throughout my life. My dad was a successful solopreneur, and my mom was a gifted tailor, costume designer, and later, a bookkeeper, herself.  My own love of numbers was born in the first grade when I came face to face with a big, colorful abacus that stood in the front of the room. Nothing made me happier than when Sister Henry picked me to demonstrate the day’s math problem. For an impressionable six-year-old, math became synonymous with FUN…and still is.
